I have been involved in Montessori for over 40 years. First as a student, later as a teacher’s assistant, then a teacher and finally as a lecturer. I have worked with people aged 6 weeks to 60 years (and probably older). I have worked with gifted children, children with special needs, school children, playgroup children, parents, teachers and child care workers. I’ve run professional development courses, taught the Montessori curriculum and educated others on how to teach it. I have a Bachelor, a Graduate Diploma and am enrolled in a Masters of Education.
I opened Montessori Gardens in 2015 because I wanted to enhance access to Montessori education and philosophy for all children. I believe passionately that all children deserve to be cared for and educated as individuals, who are valued and respected for their uniqueness and nurtured to develop their own gifts at their own pace. I am committed to providing good quality care in a nurturing and welcoming space. We work hard to create a place that feels welcoming and we consider all our staff, parents and children to be part of our extended family.
